Daily Color Scheme is a neat website that provides suggestions for website colour schemes, ready to download and import into your design software. My favourite is Veerle’s Topp.
The site says that it’s still in beta, but since no new schemes have been added since 2006, it looks like development has stalled! The site’s archive of colour schemes isn’t large, but it’s enough to give you some inspiration or help you make up your mind about the colours you like and dislike.
If you’re looking for more resources on colour for website designs, then check out this e-consultancy article on choosing colours for website designs, which is where I came across Daily Color Scheme.

Earlier this year I researched and wrote a series of case studies for the Academy for Sustainable Communities (ASC). These case studies - which focused on the 2007 winners of the Creating the Future Awards - can now be seen on Showcase, a newly-launched library of case studies from the ASC.

The Showcase website is a good example of how video and photos can help to bring a case study to life - and the site makes effective use of tags to help people find case studies that are relevant to them.
The Creating the Future awards promote organisations, partnerships and individuals helping to transform our cities, towns or villages, and celebrate achievement across the public, private and third sectors.
In 2007, award winners ranged from a new kind of library and learning service in Tower Hamlets, to a development forum for graduates working in regeneration in Merseyside.

The UK Catalyst Awards are looking for inspiring stories of people who help their community by using social technology (defined as any internet, mobile or gaming software that lets you connect and communicate with other people) in new and exciting ways.

There’s a range of awards up for grabs, including the Shock for Good Award (where social technology has shocked people into doing something good) and the David and Goliath Award (for something little that made a difference to a something big and powerful). Find out all about the awards and how to enter on the UK Catalyst Awards website.
